Sharon Osbourne didn’t tune in to watch The Talk when it returned from its three-week hiatus on Monday, according to reports.

The former X Factor judge walked away from the American programme after a race-related on-air clash with co-star Sheryl Underwood on March 10. The show was pulled from the air as CBS investigated.

It’s been claimed Sharon refused to watch The Talk’s come back episode, which saw Sheryl reveal that she had not phoned her.

The ex-co-host was ‘otherwise engaged when the show returned to the air’, an insider told TMZ.

‘Sharon and Sheryl have still not spoken privately since the on-air blow up,’ the source added to the publication.

‘It’s unclear if Sharon will soon reach out to Sheryl.’

Sharon came under fire on The Talk when she defended Piers Morgan on the show after his comments about Meghan Markle.

She stood up for her friend, saying: ‘I very much feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend, who many people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist? What does it gotta do with me?’

Getting increasingly emotional, Sharon said: ‘I will ask you again Sheryl, I’ve been asking you during the break and I’m asking you again, and don’t try and cry ‘cause if anyone should be crying it should be me.

‘Educate me. Tell me when you have heard him say racist things.’

The Talk returned for the first time in a month on Monday April 12 and the remaining members of the panel – Shery, Carrie Ann Inaba, Amanda Kloots and Elaine Welteroth – discussed the recent controversy and ‘false accusations’ that have been made.

‘I want to clear something up,’ Sheryl said. ‘There was a discussion about Sharon and I communicating with each other.

‘I have not spoken to, and do not have any phone call, missed or received, that I can find in my phone. But there were text messages sent to me.’
