May 4 is commonly known as Star Wars Day, during which fans celebrate the beloved sci-fi franchise, due to the punny phrase “May the Fourth be with you.”

Despite being announced back in 2017, complete with a playable demo at that year’s Gamescom trade show, information about Biomutant has been scarce until recently. Last month publisher THQ Nordic and developer Experiment 101 finally began revealing new looks at the game, including a World Trailer which shows off the title’s vibrant setting. While Biomutant is set in a post-apocalyptic world, the game utilizes a bright color palette which sets it apart from other post-apocalyptic video games. The game’s non-player characters are shown going about their daily routines, and the game’s unique art style helps to hide the graphical limits of the last-gen title. New details about Biomutant‘s story have also been revealed by Experiment 101, with the game’s main narrative focusing on a “Tree of Life” which is now dying thanks to several large boss creatures gnawing on its roots. The game’s protagonist, a mutant animal customized by the player whose choices steer the story, is tasked with defeating these bosses.
