‘The Mandalorian’ is confirmed for season 3
This is the way for Disney+ subscribers. With new episodes of season 2 still releasing on Disney+, the studio announced The Mandalorian will return for a third season. However, much of the plot for these upcoming episodes is still unknown.
Cosmopolitan notes that The Mandalorian takes place about five years after Return of the Jedi, which is about 14 years prior to Rey and Fin’s adventure in The Force Awakens.
That could potentially mean that this Star Wars series catches up with the sequel trilogy, although there are still a few seasons to go for that to happen. When it comes to which characters will appear alongside the Mandalorian for the third season, there are some guesses.
Will Baby Yoda return for season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’
When it comes to confirmed cast members, fans only know for sure that Pedro Pascal will reprise his role as the title character. As new episodes of season 2 are still premiering on a weekly basis, it’s not exactly clear where his current adventure will take him.
Just because he’s tasked with returning the Child to the Jedis doesn’t necessarily mean he will be absent from future seasons. Although nothing is confirmed for upcoming seasons, Cosmopolitan speculates that the fan-favorite puppet of the series, nicknamed Baby Yoda by fans on the internet, will be in season 3.

Fans look forward to more adventures featuring the Mandalorian with season 4
There’s even a season 4 of The Mandalorian in the works. One cast member, Giancarlo Esposito, shared during an interview with People that seasons 3 and 4 are where fans are going to start getting answers.
Although there is no official premiere date for season 3 yet, some speculate these new seasons will premiere about a year after each other. In fact, The Mandalorian writer and creator, Jon Favreau, anticipates filming season 3 “before the end of the year,” COVID-19 permitting.
“We’re operating under the assumption that we’ll be able to go forward,” Favreau said during an interview with Variety. “We’re in very small situations and oftentimes we have a lot of characters in masks/”
“And we also have a lot of digital work that augments things,” he continued. “So we’re a show that’s probably well-equipped to be flexible based on the protocols that are emerging surrounding work restarting.”
