Rewinding Auburn’s 30-22 loss to Tigers at South Carolina

South Carolina upsets No. 15 Auburn with a 30-22 win. Auburn got off to a quick start, going up 9-0 in the first quarter and accumulating 144 offensive yards to South Carolina’s 21 yards. But quarterback Bo Nix threw three interceptions that led to three touchdowns by the Gamecocks. All three put the Gamecocks in very good field position, and the Auburn defense could not hold its ground. To further hurt the Tigers, the offense could not finish their drives with touchdowns and had to keep settling for three. Despite finishing with 481 offensive yards to South Carolina’s 297, Auburn went down by eight points. Nix had 287 passing yards, 69 rushing yards and three interceptions. True freshman running back Tank Bigsby finished with 111 rushing yards, his second in a row. South Carolina quarterback Colin Hill finished with 144 passing yards, and running back Kevin Harris finished with 83 rushing yards. For more on the Auburn Tigers, visit
