Public Health officials urge residents to take action to prevent West Nile virus


The coronavirus is not the only virus in the Northstate as the West Nile virus (WNV) has arrived. Officials are urging the community to take preventative measures now. The first human case of WNV in Butte County was confirmed on Thursday by Butte County Public Health (BCPH), adding to the list of 250 residents that have been infected since 2004 in the county. From those infected, 9 of them have died.
